Guided Meditation

The daily practice of meditation (even just 5 minutes a day) can have benefits far greater than just a few moments of calm. By practising what you choose to think about, you learn the ability to do this in daily life, allow space between thinking and action and by neural plasticity alter the way your brain works. This is shown in the research to reduce anxiety, help with sleep, impulse control and executive function.

If you think ‘I can’t meditate because I can’t stop my brain from thinking’ then you are definitely someone who will benefit from learning. Like any new skill, it takes practice - even Buddhist monks who’ve spent their whole lives meditating say that they still have to work at it.
